I frequently had him on my fantasy team back in the day and he was a lot of fun to follow.
Should the Astros offer Canha a minor league contract–and would he take it? As FG recently pointed out, the Astros need to acquire another outfielder for depth. With Loperfido’s injury, it makes you think about Canha. Canha probably won’t hit as well as he once did, but he is guy with a patient approach who can draw walks Maybe try him out in the OF if Lopes goes on the IL. When Loperfido comes back, send Matthews back to AAA.
