This Abreu-Larnach trade rumor is everywhere. Larnach sounds good, but his defense is questionable and his splits with LHP are not good. In my opinion, the question is, who can help the Astros the most to get to the post-season? I think Abreu.
Because of the current situation, Larnach’s one year team control shouldn’t be a factor.
Agreed. The incremental improvement Larnach brings is not worth giving up a resurgent Abreu’s 8th inning role. If the story is true that Crane nixed the deal then good for him.
