Fun play for baseball rule nerds (which I’m guessing a fair share of you are)
in Cubs vs Mets, PCA goes to steal second on a full count, but it’s a ball, but he overslides the bag and is tagged so he’s out. So it’s not a caught stealing, because it wasn’t a stolen base, since it was a walk and he’s entitled to second base.
But he’s still out, because he came off the bag.
For those on X, this is a fun account to follow, if you like the weird quirks and oddities that pop up in a 2430 game season.
