Welcome back to Spring Training, where wins and losses don’t matter. A 2-1 loss to the Nationals on Saturday is already another trivial footnote for February that will soon become a vague recollection. But it was good to see some actual baseball following a long offseason.
For Sunday’s game, the Astros will host the Cardinals in West Palm Beach, with Mike Burrows starting for Houston opposite of Kyle Leahy for St. Louis. Burrows, acquired from the Pirates as part of the three-team trade that sent Jacob Melton and Anderson Brito to the Rays, will be making his unofficial Astros debut.
