Spring Training is nearly finished, y’all. One last game today at West Palm Beach followed by a pair of exhibition games against the Space Cowboys in Daikin Park this upcoming week before Opening Day on Thursday.

The Opening Day roster is now coming into clearer view. The trio of Taylor Trammell, Cavan Biggio, and Carlos Pérez were sent to Minor League camp. Trammell’s option seems to indicate that Brice Matthews has an inside track of sticking on the roster, especially if Jeremy Peña opens the season on the IL. Peter Lambert won’t make the active roster to start the season. With an opt-out in his contract, it’ll be interesting to see whether he chooses to stay with the organization. The right-hander pitched well in camp — striking out eight in 12 1/3 innings — so he’ll likely generate some strong interest if he elects free agency.
