No offense to anyone, but we’re literally seeing the definition of a Triple-A lineup today.
We’re now at the juncture of Spring Training when some separation is expected to form among the open positions in camp. For example, Lance McCullers Jr. likely has the inside track for one of the open backend rotation spots. But his performance in his next couple of starts, including today, will either make that decision for everyone or make it somewhat more complicated. And we’re also seeing Christian Vázquez make his Spring debut behind the plate. If everything goes smoothly for him over the next week to two, he will likely be the backup catcher behind Yainer Díaz.
